Nouns

 It is called as name words. They are


names of persons, places, animals,
things, events, days and months.

Nouns can be classified into two big groups. What are these?

PPONOUNS COMMON NOUNS
Proper Nouns
 These are specific names of people, places,
things, and animals.
 It starts with capital letter.
 Proper nouns include the days of the week,
months of the year, town cities, streets, and
brand names.
Examples: Philippines, Monday, and Mt. Pinatubo.

Common Nouns
 These are general names of people, places,
things, and animals.

Examples: country, day of the week, and


volcano.
