Course Description Technopreneurship is a philosophy, a way of building a career or perspective in life. This course covers the value of professional and life
skills in entrepreneurial thought, investment decisions, and action that students can utilize in starting technology companies or executing
R&D projects in projects as they start their careers..
Course Outcomes Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to:

1. Determine the importance of determining the current market needs.

3. Execute ‘Product/Technology’ based on the market needs.
4. Produce a business plan to investors/shareholders.
Target: The desired standard is 90% with a passing grade of 75% or equivalent to 3.00

The Program Educational Objectives of the Civil Engineering Program of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela are statements that describe the career and professional
accomplishments of the BSCE graduates to achieve after three to five years from graduation.
1. Graduates will highly establish themselves in their specialized field of civil engineering and be able to provide technical solutions to complex engineering problems.
2. Graduates will continuously adapt to the developing needs of the profession by pursuing career improvement through studies and trainings.

Requirements and Grading
System 30% - Final Paper Presentation
30%- Final Paper (Business Proposal)
20%- Individual Assignment All quizzes, exams, assignments, seatwork shall be based on
10%- Group Assignment/ Reporting the 50% passing percentage except plates, attendance and
10% - Attendance/ Participation conduct.

Policies (As agreed by the class) 1.Attendance will be checked at the start of each session. Students arriving 15 minutes after the start of the official class hours will be
given a mark of late. Three marks for late is automatically converted to a mark of absent. When students incur absences exceeding
20% of the total class hours for the term in a course, they will be automatically given a failing grade of 5.00 (PLV Student Manual p.
24).
2.Lectures will cover fundamental concepts presented in the reference books, instructional materials and websites provided. It is
strongly recommended and assumed that students had read the relevant text sections while the course progresses.
3.Students are allowed to take photos of class lectures, materials or equipment, however, they are prohibited to record videos and
snippets.
4.Activities, plates, seatwork and homework must be completed and submitted on the due date specified. Late submissions will not be
accepted unless proper documentations are presented.
5.Quizzes, exam results, seatwork and homework will be returned to the students a week after submission of such activities.
6.All quizzes and major examinations are announced. Special quizzes will not be entertained unless proper documentations are
presented.. Major examinations missed due to valid reasons and with proper documentation are graded zero by default, unless a
special major exam is scheduled. Only one major examination can be waived for special schedule. Missed or failed major exams and
quizzes are not subjected for substitution for another activity.
7. Plagiarism and cheating, of any kind, and of any form, are not tolerated, and will be sanctioned according to the PLV Student
Manual.
