Gene therapy is a medical approach that treats or prevents disease by

allow doctors to treat a disorder by altering a person's genetic makeup
instead of using drugs or surgery. The first clinical gene therapy was
given in 1990 to a 4 year girl with adenosine deaminase deficiency.
ADA is very crucial for our immune system.
