Impacts of Bullying on Students in the 2023 Academic Year at San

Miguel National High School

I. Introduction

Bullying begins at schools because it occurs there as well as elsewhere, and schools are
not an exception to this rule. On campus, bullying has taken many different forms, both physical
and verbal, and it negatively impacts students' motivation, focus, and academic performance. In
San Miguel National High School, bullying is still a problem. Nonetheless, this problem hasn't
gone away, and students were unable to stop themselves from engaging in it.

II. Background Information

Bullying is the abuse of authority, both physically and verbally. Bullying is unwanted,
violent behavior exhibited by students of school age that involves an imbalance of power,
whether actual or perceived. The action has a history of repetition or the possibility for
repetition. Children who harass others or who are bullied themselves may deal with serious,
persistent problems. Despite the fact that it is a grave issue that has the power to ruin lives and
even to take them, nobody is paying enough attention to it.

IV. Proposed Solution

Inform the student about bullying and the potential effects it might have on both
academic achievement and daily life. Talk calmly to the bully and help them understand what
they did. Stand your ground: If you witness someone being bullied, don't be afraid to step in and
help them. nd find a friend that can be relied upon and who you are confident won't do such a
thing. Give them the direction they craved and make them feel satisfied so that jealousy won't
develop and lead to bullying.

V. Conclusion

Hence, bullying has a significant impact on a person's life and can put them in risk. A
person's future and probably even their life can be destroyed by it. A person's daily life and
academic performance are also significantly impacted.
