INFORMATION NOTE

emlyon business school1, acting as the Data Controller, and its partners, including the Centre de
Développement de Management Entrepreneurial (Centre for the Development of Entrepreneurial
Management) (CDME) and the emlyon campuses in Shanghai and Casablanca, are required to process
your personal data for dealing with your application to one of the programs offered by the school.

Only emlyon staffs, whose duties require access to all or part of your personal data, have access to
them depending on their needs, mainly the Marketing, Development and Admissions Office who
handle your application, members of the Board of Examiners and other stakeholders for admission
tests, and the Digital Resources Department for the administration and maintenance of IT tools.

emlyon may also be required to disclose your data to:

 its service providers to provide specified services or for IT services (development,

administration, maintenance and hosting), that may be located outside the European Union,
as well as in the USA, who will process your data solely for the purposes determined in their
contract with emlyon;
 its partners, to enable them to send you notifications, subject to your prior consent, pursuant
to applicable legal provisions;
 the competent public authorities for certain admission tests.

Your data will be stored for the duration of the recruitment and selection procedure, before being
deleted or archived in accordance with the applicable legal limitation periods or storage periods.

emlyon reminds you that you may at any time, in accordance with applicable regulations for personal
data protection, exercise your rights of access to, and correction, deletion and portability of
information concerning you, as well as your rights of limitation and objection to the processing of your
data.

You may also, at any time and without conditions, object to the processing and sharing of your data
for marketing purposes.

To exercise your rights, you can send your request by email to the following address: dataprivacy@em-

Finally, you have the right of appeal to a national supervisory authority such as the Commission
Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés (French Data Protection Authority) for any violation of
regulations applicable to personal data protection.
