LINEAR INEQUALITY

- represent the unequal relation between two algebraic expressions that includes two distinct variables.
- the symbols used between the expression will be '<', '>', '≤' or '≥'
- Broken Line – used in graphing inequalities with the symbol > or <
- Solid line - used in graphing inequalities with the symbol ≥ or ≤
- To find if an ordered pair is a solution, substitute the value of x and y and see if the statement is true. If it is true
then it is a solution, if it is false then it is not a solution.
