Job Description

Job Title: Business Unit:

Assistant Manager / Manager – Supplier Development Isolation Valves (ISV)

Position Overview:
• The incumbent would support Isolation Valves business by improving the Supply Chain performance from a Cost, Speed, Delivery and
Cash perspective.
• Responsible for assessing and developing the suppliers to enable them to deliver the level of performance required by our Customers.
• Work directly with suppliers using Perfect Execution concepts and structured problem solving to implement improvement programs.
Will also collaborate with Product Supply Chain Leaders, Buyers, Material Managers and Quality.
• Optimize the current supplier base by Executing supplier consolidation initiatives aiming to focus business to the best suppliers only
and making recommendation for new sources and innovation.

Job Responsibility:
• Set and reinforce standards for a safe work environment.
• Identify opportunities, develop plans and timelines with existing suppliers to improve their ability to meet the required performance.
• Drive Lead Time reduction programs (by proposing stocking program implementation, late customization, minimum batch quantity,
supplier process improvement, etc).
• Actively participate in the monthly Buyer Report Out meeting to support P&IC managers, buyer/planners and quality managers through
fast resolution of escalated / repetitive supplier delivery and quality issues, including roots causes countermeasures (RCCM), and long
term effective corrective actions.
• Analyze site forecast provided to critical suppliers and keep close communication with Operations as well as the supplier to identify
programs necessary to maintain supplier performance (stocking program opportunities, adjust suppliers’ capacities, etc.)
• Ensure Suppliers are trained in Structured Problem Solving, Lean & Six Sigma and that Supplier management is committed to the use
of these tools.
Job Requirements:
• Must be self-sufficient and requires very less direct supervision or guidance.
• Actively engage in building and improving supplier’s performance.
• Knowledge on Casting and Forging Processes.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Operations / Supply Chain / Engineering with 8 to 10 years of experience in one or more of the
following areas: Lean Deployment, Supplier Development, Supplier Quality Assurance.
