EARTH'S LAYERS

Crust
External layer of rocks. With a thickness between 6 and 70km.

Upper Mantle
In constant movement. Earthquakes and volcanoes are originated here.

Lower Mantle
Formed by heavier rocks than the crust, at
more than 1,000 degrees Celsius.

Outer Core
Formed by molten iron and nickel.

Inner Core
Iron and nickel in solid state
due to the enormous pressure.
