CONTENT STANDARD:
The learners demonstrate an understanding of the underlying concepts and principles in caring
and maintaining crops.

PERFORMANCE STANDARD:
The learners shall be able to care for and maintain crops.

COMPETENCY:
The learner will be able to identify the types of pests, collect the samples of common insects and
pest found in garden and perform monitoring of pest incidence based on prescribed procedures.

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
1. Define what is Arthropod
2. Identify the different classes of Arthropod
3. Appreciate the importance of Arthropod in the ecosystem

Identifying Arthropod Classes
Present the different classes of arthropods (e.g., Insecta, Arachnida, Crustacea) and
their distinguishing characteristics.

IV. EVALUATION
Identify different arthropod classes and their roles in order to propose effective solutions.

V. ASSIGNMENT
Research and create a poster or presentation on a specific arthropod class. They should include
information on the characteristics, examples, and ecological roles of the class.
