DEFINITION OF LEADERSHIP

A leader is any person who influences individuals and groups within


an organization, helps them in the establishment of goals, and
guides them toward achievement of those goals, thereby allowing them to
be effective

Leadership comes into being when followers perceive the leader's behaviour in a
certain way, accept the leader's attempt to influence them, and then attribute
leadership status to that individual. Without the followers' perceptions, acceptance,
and attributions, the phenomenon simply would not exist.

Know it all attitude


– Employees are promoted based on their success in previous jobs until they reach a level at
which they are no longer competent, as skills in one job do not necessarily translate to another.
Micromanagement
– Leaders should be clearing the way for employees to do great work by not inserting
themselves into the middle of things.
No accountability
– Leadership may fail if a leader takes credit for their team's success but places accountability
for problems on their team.
Negative outlook
– Your attitude as a leader influences everyone around you, whether it's positive or negative
Disorganisation
– If you don't have a strong organizational system in place, you may have trouble handling
your responsibilities and following through on commitments to your team.
