I always try to live by the motto “Be a warrior, not a worrier.

” I am excited to express my sincere

interest in applying for the “International Diversity Scholarship”. I am passionate about pursuing Biology
as my educational path and future career. I truly believe this scholarship will help me deepen my
knowledge of Zoology and enable me to contribute to the community of biologists working towards
creating a sustainable and harmonious environment for all living beings.

As a third-generation college student, I understand the value of hard work and perseverance.
My attraction to zoology grew when I was young. My grandparents both work as biologists, nurturing
my love of biology with every day working in the fertile soil. This inspires me to follow their footstep. I
had a great experience in the summer working on an earthworm and gained new knowledge about the
inner Earthworm body and how their respiratory system helps nourish our soil. This knowledge also has
been helpful in my biology classes at school. My teacher also provides me with extra experience and
help me hone my observation skill.

During my high school year, I learned about perseverance and the value of supportive
relationships in school. I used to be introverted and kept my thoughts to myself, but an overnight trip at
the end of my senior year was a turning point for me. I was afraid to go to school because of rumors
being spread about me, but my Mom helped me calm down and believe in myself. Now, I am continuing
my passion for biology. The next school year, I had a bit of a difficult situation, but thankfully my mom
was there to support me and help me find a solution. It involved a teacher who had shared our private
conversation with the class, which was frustrating. After a long conversation with the teacher, they
ended up apologizing and I felt proud of myself for standing up for what I believed in. It was a good
lesson for me to learn about persevering in tough times and speaking up for myself to succeed in my
passion for Zoology, no matter what anyone else might say.

In addition, I have been involved in a program with the “Youth group” that aims to assist
orphans through donations of goods to people in difficult circumstances. This experience has brought
me great joy through the positive impact we can make on people’s lives. Additionally, I am fortunate to
be a member of a girls’ volleyball team where we learn to understand and support each other during the
competition. Our team motto is “If you want to go far, go together,” and we have found that this
collaborative approach has led to success in my academic achievements.

Despite my hard work, affording college has been a challenge. This scholarship is crucial for
me to cover tuition and concentrate on my studies. It is an opportunity for me to pursue my education
and gain knowledge in modern biology technologies.
