How do they celebrate?

In Belgium Halloween is celebrated by


lighting candles to honor the dead.

What about dressing up?

The Belgians don’t dress up for


Halloween but they do get dressed up
for their Spring Carnival every year.
This tradition dates from the 15th
Century .

Trick or treating?

The Belgians have a similar tradition on


the 6th of January . They call it the
Driekoningen or Three Kings. The
children dress as Kings or Queens and
go to other houses to sing and of
course collect candy.

Ghosts

When do they celebrate?


The festival last for one month. The
festival starts on the 15th of July or
August depending on the Lunar Calendar.

They burn paper money for the Ghosts
to take. They prepare food for the
Ghosts three times a day to make sure
they don’t get hungry.

They burn incense and candle in front of


photographs of dead loved ones to honor
them.

On the last day they go the temple to


celebrate together eating and enjoying
the last day.

Pop Up Card
Step 1; Cut out the template.
Step 2; Carefully fold in half and cut along the two short
balck lines.
Step 3 . Fold the flap towards the bottom of the acrd.
Step 4; Attach the Ghost to the flp.
Jack o Lantern Bunting

This craft is a simple yet


beautiful Halloween
decoration.

Simply cut out the shapes


and glue them to one
another .
Spider Bracelets

These fun bracelets are


sure to brighten your
students day. Simply cut
out the template and the
strap and attach.

For younger students I


have included alternative
spider legs as I found some
younger students found
the originals too thin. Just
cut the body of the spider
out and attach the
alternative legs if you have
the same problem.
Skull Wreath

These wreaths look very


effective for this simple
craft.
Simply cut out the skulls
and the circular
template and attach.
Witches Hat

These hats looks great


when their finished and
can be colored several
ways.
First color the templates.

Second cut them out.

Third glue the flap on the


witches hat to create a
cone shape.

Fouth attach the cone


shape to the hat using
tape attached to the
bottom of the hat and the
inside of the cone.
Spooky Pop Out Card
Step 1; Cut out the card
template and color.

Step 2; Cut along the short balck


lines.

Step3; Fold the flap out towards


the end of the card.

Step 4; Attach the boo template


to the flap.
