With Black Holes and Revelations, Muse seems to have

with Dean from Curve on a musical project together - well let’s just say the earth moved

If this the only track you hear, it’s easy to see where the comparisons to Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
come from. They surely aren’t referring to any visual resemblance!
Having spent the summer in North America, Finn is ready to get back into the studio and get ready to
release a third album, but not just yet. They graced our own El Mocambo in Toronto twice within the
span of about three months. When I heard word they were coming around the second time, I did not
hesitate to purchase a pair of tickets I have not one ounce of regret. The band performed older songs,
new material and covers alike. Standouts were the Bruce Springsteen track “State Trooper”, the new “Lions
After Slumber” and the beautiful acouctic rendition of fan favourite “Lavinia”. This was definitely a treat since
they did not play it the first time around. I still can’t fathom why the club wasn’t jam-packed that night, but
although the band did notice and made comments to that fact - they didn’t deliver any less to those who
attended that September night.
Earlier I mentioned that they weren’t just ready get back into recording. Not just yet. They are on tour until at
least the end of November. If only I needed to be in London, New Zealand or Australia anytime soon.
