A Beginner's Guide To AI (ANIME) Art
I. Introduction to AI Art
A.What is AI Art?
AI art is a form of art that uses artificial intelligence algorithms to create or
enhance artwork. It involves training machine learning models on large datasets of
images, which are then used to generate new images, manipulate existing images,
or create entirely new artworks. AI art can take many different forms, including
digital paintings, collages, animations, and even sculptures.
In addition to its artistic and conceptual value, AI art also has practical applications
in various fields, such as design, advertising, and entertainment. For example,
AI-generated images can be used in product design, visual effects, or video games,
providing cost-effective and customizable solutions for businesses and consumers
alike.
C.Conclusion
Overall, AI art represents a fascinating and rapidly evolving field that merges art,
science, and technology, offering new opportunities for creativity, innovation, and
exploration.
PROS:
-You don’t use any of your hardware resources
-You can run it on a potato laptop
-Easy to run/start (There are official templates to run Webui)
-Fast and very effective for running more demanding parameters/loads
-Multitasking can be done
CONS:
-Potential limitation that other users are using the GPU (You won’t be able to use it
when someone is using it)
-Connection to gdrive required to save images
-Services are pay-to-access
2. LOCAL:
PROS:
-Full control of the web UI and file
-Directly save files on your computer/laptop
-No wifi required
-No time limit
CONS:
-Hardware dependent (GPUs, specifically VRAM)
-NVIDIA GPUs > AMD GPUs
-Lots of downloading to do (Check DOWNLOADABLES)
-Can take up potentially hundreds of GB of space on a laptop/PC
WHERE/HOW TO:
Make sure the required dependencies are met and follow the instructions available
for both NVidia (recommended) and AMD GPUs.
Automatic Installation on Windows:
1) Install Python 3.10.6 (Newer version of Python does not support torch),
checking "Add Python to PATH".
2) Install git.
3) Download the stable-diffusion-webui repository, for example by running:
“git clone https://github.com/AUTOMATIC1111/stable-diffusion-webui.git.”
in command console
4) Run “webui-user.bat” from Windows Explorer as normal, non-administrator,
user. I suggest making a desktop shortcut for the .bat file for quick access
TUTORIAL VIDEO
FEATURES:
--autolaunch
Automatically open the WEBUI tab after it finished the startup
--dark-theme
As the name says, the dark theme in the WebUI tab
--update-all-extensions
Automatically update the extensions you installed during the startup
PERFORMANCE:
--medvram
Only loads the model at the time when the WEBUI needs it, for 8GB VRAM
GPUs
--lowvram
Only load the PART of the model at the time when WEBUI needs it, for </=
6gb VRAM GPUs
--reinstall-xformers
(FOR INSTALLING XFORMERS, ONLY USE ONCE)
--xformers
(INCREASE THE SPEED AND REDUCE THE VRAM USAGE SIGNIFICANTLY,
BUT NON-DETERMINISTIC [CANNOT REPLICATE IMAGES EXACTLY])
--no-half-vae
(FIX THE ERROR WHEN WEBUI TRIES TO LOAD THE MODEL WITH THE
METHOD NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE GPU)
--opt-sdp-attention
(SAME AS XFORMERS, EVEN FASTER, BUT WON’T REDUCE VRAM USAGE)
--opt-sdp-no-mem-attention
(DETERMINISTIC, SLIGHTLY SLOWER)

1. Choose the right platform: As with any type of art, it's essential to choose the
right platform for your AI art. Pixiv, Instagram, and Twitter can be great for
sharing images and short videos, while YouTube and Vimeo can be great for
sharing longer videos or tutorials. Consider which platform best suits your
content and target audience.
2. Showcase the process: One of the unique aspects of AI art is the process
behind it. Consider sharing images or videos that show the process of how
your AI art is created. This can help your audience understand and
appreciate the complexity and uniqueness of your work.
3. Highlight the technology: AI is fascinating, and people are often interested in
learning more about how it works. Consider sharing information about the
tools and techniques you use to create your AI art. This can help build
interest and engagement with your work.
4. Use Tags/hashtags: Tags can help your AI art reach a wider audience. Do
some research to find relevant tags in your niche, and include them in your
posts. Platforms such as Pixiv have a wide variety of tags, you can search for
the most popular/used tags in Pixiv
