Rules and Regulations

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. The team should strictly adhere to the number of participants per team.
2. The participants ought to strictly adhere to the timings.
3. Participants should bring Bonafide Certificate & ID card at the time of registration.
4. Participants can take part in many events without any time clash.
5. A registration fee of Rs. 250/- per head for participants from engineering colleges and
polytechnic colleges (Project competition) has to be paid.
6. Spot registration is not permitted for Project competition
7. Candidate should confirm their participation on or before 24.02.2024 to the E-mail ID
(scimit2024@gmail.com)
8. E-mail, phone number and postal address are compulsory.
9. Attractive prizes will be given along with certificate for the winners.
10. Participants whose project are selected have to pay their registration fee for Project
competition.
11. Participation certificates will be given for all the registered participants.
12. Lunch will be provided to the registered participants of Project competition only.
13. Refreshment in the morning & evening will be provided to all the registered participants
14. College buses are available from Villupuram and Pondy (new bus stand) at 8.00 am & from
cuddalore at 7.20 am
15. No DA will be provided. TA will be for participants (more than 200 kilometers) second class
train fare is applicable.
16. Accommodation will be provided for outstation participants.
17. Organizing Committee decision is final.
EVENT RULES

1. Maximum 3 members per team.


2. The detailed abstract of half to one page should be submitted as a MS Word
Project X!po document (.doc format only) with Times New Roman font (size 12), Heading
size: 16, single spacing and single column format on or before 20th Feb 2024 to
scimit2024@gmail.com with subject as SCIMIT’24- project .
3. A working model to explain a concept, principle or a process of
 An innovative/inexpensive technique.
 Application of basic principles of Science/technology
 Scheme/design of a device to save the world against the natural
disaster (Eg. Flood, Earth quake,& Tsunami etc)
 Energy & its conservation techniques
4. Selected participants will be announced on 22th Feb 2024 through the
E-mail.
5. Projects will be under the following categories.
 General science
 Civil & Mechanical
 Electrical, Electronics & communication technology
 Software & hardware technology
 Environmental issues
6. Projects belong to Software & hardware technology category systems will be
provided.
7. The participants must bring their necessary accessories.
8. The event consists of 2 rounds.
Round I: Display in the exhibition hall for 3hrs. (Marks will be given based on the
theme & mode of display)
The participants have to crack down the Round I to get into the Round II.
Round II: Display in the exhibition hall for 2hrs. (Marks will be given based on
the efficiency, design and performance of application)
9. The organizers reserves full rights to disqualify any project that is found not
innovative.
Prizes 10. The decision of the judges will be final.
PARTICIPANTS FROM ENGINEERING / POLYTECHNIC:
First : Rs. 25,000/- Second : Rs.15,000/- Third : Rs. 10,000/-
18 consolation prizes cash worth Rs 2000/- for deserving project

Registration Fee PARTICIPANTS FROM ENGINEERING / POLYTECHNIC: Rs. 250/- per head
*Registration is fee is Non refundable

Digital Payment mode is through UPI ID / G pay /QR code , Screen shots of the payment to be
uploaded in the google form .

Important Dates:
Last date for the submission of abstract for PROJECT COMPETITION : 20.02.2024
Intimation of acceptance / selection (only through E – Mail) : 22.02.2024
