The English Test of the Third Term

TEXT:

A citizen is a member of the country. He has the right to ask for his protection and the
duty to protect it and obey its laws and rules. In other words, citizenship is the relationship
between an individual and his country. I think that being a good citizen doesn’t stop at the
exchange of rights and duties but it requires a lot of good values and civilized behaviours which
people should respect in order to make the level of life better.

If you want to be an active citizen, you should take an active role in your community.
How? First of all, follow and respect the rules in your society. This can be at places such as
school, home, or any public place. Second, participate in taking care of the environment: you
can do this by recycling your own rubbish and save energy and water at home. Third, be
respectful to your family, friends and neighbours and help people in need. Fourth, volunteer in
community or charity organizations: you can volunteer at a homeless shelter or orphanage.
Last but not least, be a good person.
