JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title Maintenance Staff


Report to General Affair Manager and/or Gardener

Canggu Community School (CCS) is an “Satuan Pendidikan Kerjasama” (SPK) School in Bali, Indonesia with
about 491 students from Preschool to Year 13. CCS is fully accredited by the Council of International School
(CIS) and the Western Association of Schools and College (WASC). The school is authorized to teach the
International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma.

1. NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB.

This job description is for Maintenance Staff of Canggu Community School. It is an integral part of the
employment documents, including the Contract and the Company Policy Document.

The Maintenance Staff plays a critical role in the overall efficient functioning of the school. He/she is an
important member of the School team and is expected to work in collaboration with, and in support of the
team, and to help provide a positive, caring environment.

The Maintenance Staff needs to be a highly organized, flexible and dedicated person. It is important that
he/she supports the mission and values of CCS are being met.

The Maintenance Staff is not allowed to receive any gift/present in term of goods or money (such as cash,
goods, or present) from the supplier, business partner or contractor, and if this occurs this will result in
termination of contract.

At the end of each school year, a year review and evaluation will be held between the Maintenance Staff
and General Affair Manager along with Gardener Supervisor for purposes of job review and re-hiring of
the probation employee.

Report to General Affair Manager and/or Gardener Supervisor each day at 08:00; Day ends at 17:00.

2. EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
 High School/Vocational High School related to maintenance skill (electricity, mechanics, etc).

3. EXPERIENCE:
 Minimum 1 years’ experience as Maintenance Staff.

4. SKILLS
 Well organized, flexible and dedicated person.
 Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
 Effective communication both (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
 Ability to work independently and also as a team.
 Excellent organizational skills.
 Accuracy and attention to detail.
 Basic in English.
 High degree of discretion dealing with confidential information.
 Ability to relate to people from a range of cultures.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS TASKS
1. Leadership 1.1. Manage the tasks assigned by General Affair Manager and/or
Maintenance Supervisor.
2. Organizational Management 2.1. Management
2.1.1. Repair or replace defective equipment or parts using
hand or machines.
2.1.2. Inspect and record of maintenance work and their
costs.
2.1.3. Clean and lubricate parts.
2.1.4. Maintain overall cleanliness and proper functioning of
the area or tools or the machinery.
2.1.5. Paint and repair of windows, doors, walls and floors
of the building
2.1.6. Prepare rooms for meetings, and arrange decorations,
media equipment, and furniture for assembly, social
or business functions.
2.2. Reporting
2.2.1. Prepare summary of tasks status assigned by General
Affair Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor.

3. Communication & Relation 3.1. Responding and resolving issues in timely manner.
3.2. Interact with suppliers and users to help with the payment,
evidence of tax withholding, etc.

4. Professionalism 4.1. Create culture of respect, understanding, sensitivity and


appreciation for the suppliers and users.
4.2. Maintain and ensures confidentiality.
4.3. Maintain a positive and respectful attitude.
4.4. Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor.
4.5. Works in a collaborative manner with all CCS employees.
