• Solar production self-consumption Capacitor Bank

By adding solar energy production, the building

produces its own energy. The energy consumed
from the grid is lower and the energy bill is
significantly reduced. In addition the building’s
environmental impact is reduced.
The photovoltaic system operates in parallel
to the utility supply and provides electricity to
the electrical installation during the hours of
photovoltaic production. In case of grid outage, Connext

disconnected to prevent it from energizing the
distribution network and compromizing the
safety of utility workers.
The photovoltaic inverters may also operate
in back-up mode, in parallel to the diesel
generators. In this case, it is recommended
for stability reasons to limit the photovoltaic
production to 25% of generator production,
by using a central edge control system.

Save Money by Optimizing Maintenance

IEC 60364-7-710 recommends the minimum

preventive maintenance to maintain the energy
availability performance in Healthcare buildings,
mainly through periodic backup tests.
• Diesel generator backup system

Provides documented evidence of regular
generator system testing, including 50%

change. Load discrimination (Groups 2,1 and

• UPS monthly test:
The IEC 60364-7-710 standard recommends
monthly testing of the endurance UPS backup
system on battery within minimum 50%
connected load for 15 min. By incorporating an
auto test function, the Galaxy VS fulfills this
testing requirement.
In addition to this global auto test facility, a Lithium
battery system can identify precisely which cell
of the battery has failed when this occurs.
