Eligibility Criteria and Rounds Overview

The competition will be conducted in three categories, namely,

Large scale Category (LSC), Small and Medium Enterprises Category
(SMEC) and Agri-business organisations Category (ABOC).

Maximum of TWO teams can participate from an organisation.

Two to Three members will represent each team and showcase the successful
implementation of OPEX initiatives.

Representatives must be employees of the organisation.

The OPEX initiative being showcased must have tangible, measurable,

advantageous business outcome.

The initiative must have demonstrated at least six months of

sustained or improved metrics.

Participation Rounds

For Round 1 (Initial screening), Presentations are to be submitted

in the prescribed format.

Shortlisted teams for Round 2 will be communicated by the organisers.

Round 2 will be online presentations by the shortlisted teams.

Top three finalists from each category will be invited for Round 3
at SIOM, Nashik.

All finalist teams must attend OPEX'24 and present their cases.

The winning team, from each category will receive the title of "OPEX in 2024”.
CHAMPIONS, along with Prize money, Trophies (for Team members), and
Certificates.
1st and 2nd Runner-up teams from each category will receive
Trophies (for the team members) and Certificates.

All Finalists will get an opportunity to attend the “Tattv’23 – National

Operations Summit” organised by SIOM, Nashik, on 15th December, 2023.

All registered team members will receive e-certificates for participation.

Evaluation Criteria
Innovativeness
Clear, measurable performance objectives and how the team met them?

The simplicity and straightforwardness of the initiative's approach

Creative use of tools, techniques, processes, and systems in the initiative.

Quantum of outcomes, including cost reduction, lead time reduction,

and quality improvement, safety improvement, etc.

Sustainability and scalability of the initiative.

Presentation Quality, including problem statement, clear descriptions,
metrics, and before-after visuals.

Submission Process
Teams should register and submit their entries by online application form using
the link - https://forms.gle/5MzkxXoqoQax62798 and by making payment
of Registration fees of Rs. 3000 (inclusive of taxes) using the QR Code.

Entries should include the following:

1. Company and Team member details

2. Participation permission letter from senior executive
officers/management of the organization
3. Presentation in prescribed format
4. Registration fees per team – Rs.3000 (inclusive of taxes)

Highlights from OPEX'23
The Pioneer event of Opex’ 2023 was a huge success with multiple
multinationaland domestic organisations showcasing their innovative
processes and techniques. The OPEX’23 Championship Trophy was grabbed
by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Mumbai, and Bosch chassis
systems India Pvt Ltd as 1st Runners-up. ABB India Limited and Godrej
& Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd. Won the Special Mention Awards.
