The Hon'ble Special Chief Secretary uf PRARD las itically reviewed the activities of the V&QC wings of PRED and RWS&S on 26.10.2023 in the O/o the Commissioner, PRRD, Tadepalll. During the review mectiny (RESBECSINCHIER “Secretary to Government has emphasized the importance of the Quality to be Assured at the planning stage and utilization of the highest quality materials during the execution of the works with utmost honesty. Based on the Review and opinions expressed by the V&QC wing of PRED the Tollowing instructions were issued for assuring the better quality In execution of all works. 1, Proper planning should be done while preparation or Estimates. 2. Execute all the works as per standard specifications strictly irrespective of Grant and Estimate Lost. . Maintain same quality in all the works being execute by the Lepartment. 4, Ensure the quality of Materials used at site such as Aggregates, Sand, Metal, Cement, Bricks etc., 5. Engineering Assistants should ensure the quality of materials collected at site and to be tested at his level as per procedures. 6. The Engineering Assistants must be present at work site during the execution of works and the concrete items should be executed in his / her presence. 7. In case the Engineering Assistants are not able to attend, ensure that the local community organization is present at the site. 8. Critical operations such as concrete /compactions should be doné under the presence of Engineering Assistants or Community Representatives to achieve good quality.9. Cement Concrete Ri rks taken up ul MP: ‘A. Maintain proper grade of concrete with required water cement ratio as per specifications to attain the designated strength. Place the Rubber sheet having 1.25MX2.00M size of each row with (3) holes of size 0.20x0.20 Mt, on the road portion for utilization of pin vibrators and then pan vibrators for getting homogeneous and void free concrete to attain the required compressive strength. Grove Cuttings should be done within 24 hours of concreting to avoid the cracks. D. Proper curing must be done as per Specifications and ensure that the traffic should not be allowed during execution and curing period. 10, Conduct regular Training Programmes to Engineering Assistants to create awareness in Quality aspects, using quality Materials, Construction aspects, Recording of M-Books and give necessary guidance to maintain Quality in execution of works as per standard specifications. 11. Report the names of the Engineering Assistants, if any slackness is observed in attending while execution of Works. 12,People’s estimate may be prepared and displayed at the work site so that the community will understand easily and ensure the required quantity and quality. Hence all Superintending Engineer, PR, District Panchayat Raj Engineering Officers, Executive Engineers, PR, PRI, PIU ard V&QC Int Ue State are structed follow the above instructions to ensure good quality of works being executed in PRED.
