1. PROJECT DESCRIPTION • Davao is the largest city in the world with a total area of
244,000 hectares
• It is the main trade, commerce and industry hub of Mindanao,
serves as one of the main financial centers in the country and
one of the gateways to the Brunei, Malaysia, Indonesia and
Philippines (BIMP) East ASEAN Growth Area.
• Has active Tourism Council and a strong partnership with the
private
• currently working on developing the Internal Rules and
Regulations of the Davao City Tourism Code which became

• Both public and private sectors recognized the need to have a
Tourism Master Plan for:
