Empowering the Future: Exploring the DepEd Order No. 88, Series of 2010: A
Reflection Paper
On top of that, there are some sections in this manual that caught my attention and
one of them is under the Fundamental State Policies on Education (Section) 4, the
Education For All (EFA). As a future teacher, I play a crucial role in promoting the
Education for All (EFA) policy, and in the future I will be at the forefront of this mission,
serving as one of the key advocates of this policy, breaking down barriers and creating
an inclusive learning environment for all. The EFA policy promotes inclusivity, ensuring
that education is accessible to all, regardless of socio-economic background, gender,
ethnicity, or ability of a particular person. For example, as a future teacher, I will implement
diverse teaching approaches, techniques, and strategies to accommodate different
learning styles, provide additional support to students with special needs, and provide
assistance to students with low socio-economic status. With this example, it fosters a
learning environment that reflects the principles of EFA. Furthermore, another section that
caught my attention is Section 156. Duties of a Students. It is not new that there are
instances in schools that students showing misconduct and bad behaviors. That is why,
as future teacher, I will properly and positively instill to my future students their various
duties in order to foster a sense of responsibility, discipline, and a positive learning
atmosphere. Because, if they understand and fulfill their duties, it will contribute to a well-
functioning educational community. For example, school uniform and dress code
regulations. It is a duty of every student to wear the prescribed attire of school in order to
promote sense of unity within the school. Another example, students are expected to
communicate with their peers, teachers, and other school personnel in a respectful and
polite manner. During class discussions or group activities, students should raise their
hands before speaking, actively listen to others, and avoid using offensive language in
order to promote positive and respectful learning environment.
