I. Objectives: Determine the meaning of words using context clues.

C. Materi: flashcards, stories

III. Procedure/s:
A. Pre-Reading
1. Activate prior knowledge.
Let the pupils do activities like games/songs/ and or chants related
to the selection to be presented.
2. Use flashcards to highlight unfamiliar words to determine their
meaning.
3. Motive questions related to the story be presented.
B. During Reading:
1. Introduce the story.
2. Reading aloud
a. First reading by the teacher.
b. Second reading is done by the learners through choral reading
or other form of reading techniques.
3. Word-picture association to determine the meaning of unfamiliar
words.

C. Post Reading
1. Comprehension check-up using HOTS questions.
2. Use unfamiliar words in the sentence.
3. Think pair and share the constructed sentence using the unfamiliar
words.
4. Collect all the outputs for progress monitoring of the learner.
