Details of the Incident:
On the 20th of January 2024, in the early hours of the day, an empty residence was set on fire. The property
belongs to the Shubata family. The crime was not discovered until 7:00 AM, when the caretaker arrived. The
residence was uninhabited, and its location is isolated from the main city; hence the fire went unseen, and
unreported until several hours after the fact.
While the fire was initially blamed on faulty electrical wiring, the preliminary investigation revealed evidence
that it may have been arson. Traces of accelerants and other materials used in Molotov cocktails were found in
the charred remains.
Upon questioning the Shubata family, a possible suspect was found: Prithi Deva, a lawyer whose firm had a
contract with the Shubata family’s business. The contract was canceled on unfavorable terms a week prior to the
