Grade ‘C’ Stenographers Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, 2017:

Declaration of final result

The Staff Selection Commission conducted Computer Based Examination for the Grade
‘C’ Stenographers Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, 2017 on 21.10.2022 for
making additions to the Select list for Grade ‘C’ of the following services/cadres :-

(i) Central Secretariat Stenographers Service Grade ‘C’;

(ii) Stenographers Cadre of Indian Foreign Service (B) Grade-II;
(iii) Armed Forces Headquarters Stenographers Service Grade ‘C’;
(iv) Railway Board Secretariat Stenographers Service Grade ‘C’;
(v) Election Commission of India Stenographers Service Grade ‘C’;

2. The result of Computer Based Examination for Grade ‘C’ Stenographers Limited
Departmental Competitive Examination, 2017 was declared by the Commission on 13.04.2023
wherein 249 candidates qualified for appearing in Skill Test in Stenography. Subsequently, Skill
Test was conducted by the Commission on 09.07.2023. The Commission declared the result of
Skill Test on 03.12.2023 for evaluation of APARs of candidates who qualified in the Skill Test of
the said examination.

3. The revised vacancy position reported by participating cadres/services is as under:

4. Following are the category–wise details of candidates recommended against the
vacancies, received from the user departments, for inclusion in the Select List of Steno Grade ‘C’
of 2017 on the basis of Grade ‘C’ Stenographers Limited Departmental Competitive Examination,
2017:-

(iii) Armed Forces Headquarters Stenographers Service Grade ‘C’ (AFHQ);

No candidate qualified for evaluation of APARs against the reported vacancies.

(iv) Railway Board Secretariat Stenographers Service Grade ‘C’ (RBSS);

No candidate qualified for evaluation of APARs against the reported vacancies.

(v) Election Commission of India Stenographers Service Grade ‘C’;

No candidate qualified for evaluation of APARs against the reported vacancies.

5. The list of the Candidates is purely provisional and subject to fulfilling all the eligibility
conditions prescribed in the Notice of the Examination and also subject to through verification of
their identity with reference to their photograph, signatures, handwritings, etc. on the Application
Forms, Admission Certificates, etc.

6. The category status in respect of candidates belonging to reserved categories has been
indicated against their roll numbers. It is in the interest of the candidates concerned to contact
the Regional Director (NR) of the Commission immediately in all such cases where they do not
belong to the category shown against their roll numbers.

7. Details of marks of the qualified/ non-qualified candidates will be uploaded on website of

the Commission shortly.
