    1.0 PURPOSE

    This method statement provides information concerning the equipment, material and
    method of construction to ensure compliance with contract requirements, drawings,
    technical specification and quality control

    2.0 REFERENCES

    3.0 SCOPE OF WORKS

    The scope of these electrical services – Installation of Transformer

    4.0 TOOLS & TESTING EQUIPMENTS

    The tools and testing equipment in provision as required and if necessary:-

    a. Transportation i.e. mobile crawler crane, back hoe etc.


    a. Safety gears
    c. Electric or pneumatic hacking tools.
    d. Hammer drill and accessories.
    e. Torque wrench.
    f. Sheath Cutter
    g. Gas Burner
    h. 500V and 5000V Megger Tester
    i. Circuit Tester
    j. Cable stocking / Pulling eye.
    k. straight-through joints and accessories.
    l. Trolley carriage.

    6.0 TESTING PROCEDURES

    a. The cable installation shall be tested according to certified condition which is


    the tests on electric cables.

    b. The continuity test and insulation resistance on the cable shall be carried out
    to make sure that the cable are in good condition and no faulty or leakage
    current along the line.

    c. Insulation test for transformer

    7.0 SAFETY FEATURES

    All operation during this work will be done in an efficient and safe manner and in
    accordance to the Safety Procedures.

    However there are issues concerning safety for this work that are to be observed
    base on the results of the audit, relevant safety measures shall be proposed and
    implemented as follows:-

    a. Carry out a Hazard Identification Audit (HIA) before start of work each day and
    before the start of a new task.

    b. Basic Safety harness, shoe, helmet, glove, goggle should wear during work on
    progress, depend on type of event.

    c. Safety briefing to workers every subsequent time and the installation is monitor
    by competent person.

    d. All activity inside the substation monitor by competent person

    e. Fire extinguisher (C02 and ABC) to be standby on works area.

    f. All materials shall be transported by lorry to the site. Upon arrival, the materials
    shall be unloaded at identified storage yard, either manually or by machinery. All
    material shall be checked and inspected by the supervisor and consultant. It
    must be stacked on timber and cover with non-staining plastic sheet.

    g. The material shall be in good condition, clean and free from defect and crack
    during the installation.

    h. During works on progress, any unsafe event shall stop immediately and report to
    the safety office & competent person, or in-charge personal.

    i. Check, tidy up and clean works place after work done.
