Ceramic Hob: A hob with a sheet of heat


resistant glass covering its rings.

Halogen Rings: Halogen bulbs fitted under a


ceramic hob, which heat up instantly when lit.

Self-Cleaning Oven: An oven with linings which


self-clean.

Split-Level Cooker: A cooker where the hob


and the oven are separate, the hob is placed
into a worktop and the cooker is fitted into a
specially designed cupboard space.

Ignition Button: A button used to light gas hobs instead of


using matches.
