November 3 & 17 December 1 & 15

Welcome
Fall is most certainly here. Very few people are happy about this time of year knowing that winter is around the corner. The mornings are a little harder to wake up because of the shorter days and how nice it is to cuddle in the blankets. We have a few more items to put on in the mornings to make sure everyone is warm enough. Hoping that the kids hands get washed (a lot) so we dont catch that dreaded cold or flu. But as the season changes, we must change in order for us to be better moms. For those of us moms who couldnt make it to the October 6 th meeting here are a few things you missed. We had a great selection of food for brunch. We listened to a couple praise songs. For a good laugh we watched a short clip on YouTube. Our speaker for the morning was Kara Bilbo with Menu planning 101. She had put several ideas on paper for a visual, but you determined what best suited your style. We had a few minutes to talk to the ladies at our table and enjoyed getting to know how they do things. Giving every mom a way to spice things up at home, or maybe get the rest of the family to try something new. We did get a chance to get with our groups for a few minutes. We finished the meeting with our prayer circle. Today we plan on making a memory verse book for our kids. -Stacy Mitchell

Getting to Know You

Lets go right into getting to know two more of our moms. Introducing Kristen Palmer and Tiffany Roy. Kristen grew up in Mulvane, Kansas. Her and her husband, Danal, of 3 years have two wonderful children: Danal II (20 months) & Dawson (4 months). Kristens favorite thing about being a mom is enjoying the little things that the kids do, and what they are able to teach you every day. A family favorite is to go to the park and watch the kids play. Something few people know about Kristen is that three years ago they didnt think they could have kids and now God has blessed them with 2 of them. A bible verse that she enjoys is: As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15

Next Meeting
At our next meeting we will be having Jamie Helm come to speak to us about finances. If you are in Amie or Jans discussion group, it will be your turn to bring brunch for the next meeting on November 3rd.

Her favorite things about being a mom are all the hugs and kisses, and watching them learn and grow. A favorite thing they do as a family is fishing, being outside, playing sports, and watching KU basketball. Something few people know about Tiffany is her father passed away when she was 14 years old. Her favorite bible verse is: For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Fall Scavenger Hunt

What a better way to enjoy the pretty autumn colors than to head outside for a Fall scavenger hunt. Pack a picnic and some hot apple cider. Head to a local park or trail and have fun letting your little ones explore some of Gods beautiful creations. Also let your kids know that they might not find all the items, but to just have fun looking. Here are some things to get your list started: Large red leaf, small yellow leaf, birds nest, smooth stone, animal tracks, feather, spiders web, pine cone, fallen tree, heart shaped rock, brown leaf, and a y shaped twig. And instead of taking some of the smaller items home and just throwing them away, help your kids take pictures of each of the things they find. That way, the memory will last forever!
