Respected Sir/Madam,

We extend our warm invitation to the eighth edition of our

flagship STEM Olympiad: LGS MATCH - namely the Mechatronics,
Aerospace, Technology, and Calculations Hub. Since inception,
the event has fostered intellectual, pedagogical, and creative
growth for students within the science community and beyond,
extending to the social sciences and arts as well. This year's
edition aims to amplify the interdisciplinary nature of STEM with
an elaborate repertoire of 10 categories encompassing not only
science and mathematics, but environmental and forensic
sciences as well.

In the 21st century, scientific research and innovation has

reached new heights, requiring an amalgamation of skills
ranging from analytical thinking to critical reasoning and
problem solving. This year, we hope to mimic these conditions,
focusing on more practical implementations of STEM and the
social sciences more in-line with real-world requirements.
Providing a platform for delegates to showcase their scientific
excellence, alongside exposing them to the importance of real-
world skills, this year’s edition of LGS MATCH seamlessly
integrates theoretical knowledge with practical scenarios.

Thus, we invite you to join us for yet another immersive,

fascinating edition of LGS MATCH, scheduled to take place 26,
27, 28 January, 2024, where we hope to not only honour the
long-standing legacy of this tournament, but to provide the
delegates with a truly unforgettable experience.

 CATEGORIES
Each team must consist of a minimum of six and a
maximum of eight delegates. Delegates will be required
to participate in a total of five categories; including the
two compulsory categories - Dr AQ Khan's Lab and
Advection. Additionally, delegates will be required to
choose three optional categories, from a total of eight.
Delegate caps will be alloted in the study guide of the
respective categories.
AWARD CRITERIA

Each category will have a “Winner” and “Runners-Up” award.

Every award will earn points based on the point system

mentioned below. The team with the highest number of points

will be awarded the “Best Team” award and the delegation with

the highest number of points will be awarded the “Best

Delegation” award.

PAYMENT DETAILS

All delegations are to be registered through the online form

provided on our social media handles and on the website.
Furthermore, the Waiver of Liability must be scanned and
submitted before the registration deadline. Please adhere to the
following while filling in the registration form for LGS MATCH 8.0:

Private delegations are not allowed.

No team will be accommodated after the registration
deadline.
All payments should be made in accordance with the
deadlines posted on the website or the Instagram page.
Any changes in teams should be communicated to Lahore
Grammar School Defence at least a week prior to the event.
Incomplete registration forms i.e., incomplete fields / missing
pictures / signatures etc. will not be reviewed.
Each school must fill the Institution Registration Form
enclosed below - each participant must sign the Waiver of
Liability and abide by it.
Bank draft & Waiver of Liability signed by each participant
must be submitted to the school office before the registration
deadline. Confirmation emails will be sent out to all the
participants whose registration is received and accepted.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Lahore Grammar School Defence has a zero tolerance policy

for all forms (verbal and physical) of inequity during and out of
categories, harassment, and bullying: any infractions in the
behavior of delegates will be reported to the delegate’s
institution and Lahore Grammar School Defence’s Equity
Board, with immediate expulsion from the event. The main
responsibility of the Equity Board will be to enforce the equity
policy and to go through all complaints made by any host
team, management, staff, and delegates. Members of the
Equity Board will include Lahore Grammar School’s
Administration, the Executive Council, and one chaperone from
any attending team. Delegates will be able to make formal
complaints to the Equity Board at any point during the event
through Google forms being sent out prior to the first day of
the event for anonymous reports. In addition, Pastoral Care
heads — as from the School Administration as well as from the
A-Level Council — be available as part of the Equity Board to
ensure the well-being of the attending delegates.
WAIVER OF
LIABILITY

read, consented to, and have fully understood the rules and regulations of this
competition. I also pledge to adhere to the laws of the City of Lahore and the
Islamic Republic of Pakistan. I also declare that I will adhere to any other rules
the organizers inform me of during the event, and respect the will of the
Secretariat, Directorate, Executive Council, and the administration of Lahore
Grammar School Defence.
I give my consent to be interviewed, photographed, and recorded through-out
the event, and am aware that the obtained material can be published and
used for promotional purposes on associated LGS MATCH websites, pages etc.
I understand that I shall be expelled from this competition if I violate any of the
rules and regulations. I take full responsibility for my behaviour on and off the
campus. I understand that this contract is enforceable to the full extent of the
law, and I am prepared for the consequences that any inappropriate
behaviour on my part will entail.
I waive, release, and discharge Lahore Grammar School Defence from any and
all liability, including but not limited to the liability from the negligence of the
school or event for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage,
theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to me.
Note: Refunds will not be granted to delegates unable to attend the event due
to unforeseen circumstances, such as changes in travel plans, illnesses and
visa rejection
