A good indicator that we are ready for the opening of class is the posting of names of learners on each door
with teacher on it.
With the help of Barangay Chairman and Barangay Officials, as well as the help of 4Ps, they assured the
cleanliness of our school ground before the opening of classes.
For comments and suggestions, we have Client Satisfactory Survey box or Suggestion box to build
stronger ties with our existing parents, as well as to earn a reputation as preferred educational institution
that will last for more years to come.
Opening of Classes
The Department of Education (DepEd) announces that the opening of classes for School Year 2023-
2024 in all public schools will be on August 29, 2023.
The faculty and staff of Bancay First Elementary School headed by our School Head Mam Magnolia
O. Castro welcomes the students on their first day of class for the school year 2023-2024 as we set
out on a new phase meaningful learning and achievements this year.
Flag Raising Ceremony was conducted with our new teacher Sir June M. Rico, our newly assigned
grade five adviser.
Our School Head Mam Magnolia O. Castro gave her warm welcome and inspirational message to
students in this another wonderful academic session.
“Always, TODAY marks the BEGINNING. Remember the road to success is continuous learning.
Make the most of this session and you will be glad you did. The most amazing thing about
education apart from it being the best legacy is that no one can take it from you. Put in all your best
and success will be yours at the end of the day. WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL!”

The students performed their best, blending their voices and internalizing
the character which was needed in the piece. The hand gestures and the actions
add up to the color and harmony of the presentation. Students really put their
efforts into the practices that they had the week before the event.
But since it’s a competition there should be a winner. After all the
presentations, the judges gave their technical assistance by providing
feedbacks, comments and suggestions for the improvement of the
presentations. The judges tallied scores and so the winners are
determined. Only 5 winning schools will continue competing in the
Municipal Level. The winners were given certificates. After a thorough
checking done by judges a winner was then proclaimed.

many events were organized in honor of their beloved teachers.Students performed presentations,
prepared fun games, displayed the importance of a teacher in community and society, and gave
unforgettable lines from their teachers as well as their appreciation speeches on the contribution of their
own teachers or adviser. The idea basically is to convey the message that every teacher is important.
The programme started at 9:00 am conducted by Sir June Rico and his grade five pupil Yen Castro.
It begin with “A Prayer for Teachers” which was led by the SPTA president - Liza Bauzon.
The programme warmed and graced by the message of BFES school head - Mrs. Magnolia O.
Castro,EdD. Her message encouraged and inspired everyone especially the teachers to continue their
journey being in their noblest profession.
This very special day was flavored with different surprises, games and activities. Different parlor
games were played by teachers with the help of pupils like giving their best behavior while trying to imitate
the lines of their teachers. It was a fun activity aimed at sparking little humor into the participants. Teachers
performed on stage unknowingly and were surprised that students prepared a special dance number. All
students from kindergarten to grade six showcased their talents in dancing to show their appreciation to
their teachers.
Honoring teachers and a surprise giving also highlighted the event as it is for students another way
of appreciation by giving simple gifts to their teachers. Giving gifts is a symbol of obligation towards their
service and it has become a tradition and an integral part of Teacher’s Day Celebration in our community.
Smiles evidently seen on each face who attended the said event. With all the willing hearts and
endeavor of the students to realize its purpose, they uttered and demonstrated their praise and gratitude to
their beloved teachers who are tirelessly imparting knowledge and directing their path in their daily lives
through gift giving and simple hugs and kisses that were all precious to the eyes of the teachers.
