Literacy Writing

We will be reading books that focus

on Exploring New Things.
Our unit essential question is: Why do
people try new things? We will be learning about Persuasive Writing.

We will continue to build on what the children

We will ask: How do you show you are
excited to try something new?
Unit High Frequency words: with, that, this,

the goal is to have someone try something
new that you recommend.
Our focus will be on writing good reasons
why someone should take our
recommendation. We will start by making
lists of things we are interested in having
other people try. (Ex: getting a pet, going to
a new place, watching a movie, trying a new
food).

Math Science- Pushes and Pulls

In math we will begin exploring more than,

fewer than and equal to. In Science we have been learning about how
