knit 4 stitches, increase 1 stitch in next two knit stitches, knit 4 stitches( (12 stitches)

garter stitch in first and last two stitches from now on, continue on inside stocking stitch pattern
knit 3, increase knit ways on next two stitches, knit 3 stitches

repeat stocking stitch on middle stitches until the piece is long enough for you
