Setup
●
Don’t plug it in beside high drain
appliances

Keep it fair from other appliances
with a big magnetic field (radios,
tvs, fridges,etc)

connection, or cable/phone line

Tips on surge
suppressors 2024
●
UL 1449 is the primary
safety standard for
transient voltage surge
suppressors (TVSS).
This standard covers all
TVSS products
operating at 50 or 60
Hz, at voltages 600 V
and below.

Unpacking the computer
●
Read the content list and check everythings recieved
●
Go slowly and methodically
●
Don’t eat and drink around the new computer
●
Unpack on the floor level
●
Inspect all connectors for pin or cut damage to the cable
connector
●
Slide the monitor out horizontally onto the floor
●
Let it cool/warm up in room temperature environment
before turning it on
●
Remove all packing materials (spacers on printers too) and
organize and label cables from the bottom of the boxes

Turn it on and Get computing!
●
Turn on the monitor first
●
Turn on the printer (solid light means
its ready, blinking light means it
needs paper)
●
Turn on the speakers and other
devices (can plug inline up to 127
devices)
●
Turn on the the system box
●
Try inserting a cd/dvd into the drive

What happens now?
The computer runs it’s base
programs in the operating system
that is series of commands to get
you to the login screen

Final note
●
Turning it on on and off heats
of internal components on the
systems motherboard risking
longterm damage if its
continuously repeated.

If you use your computer
daily consider leaving it on
and letting it go into sleep
mode when not used
●
