UNVEILING THE MYSTERY OF PRAISE AND THANKSGIVING

A MAJOR REASON FOR MAN’S EXISTENCE IS TO PRAISE GOD

1 Peter 2:9 (KJV)


But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye
should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous
light:

- The major reason for man’s existence is to worship God.


- Praise and Thanksgiving are a form of Worship – Honouring God
- The payment for salvation and deliverance is to praise God
- Unable to praise and graciously thank God, makes us indebted to God

Let everything that breathes praise the LORD. Hallelujah!

- Breathe was given for the sake of praise


- As long as you are ready to praise, no devil can cut you your breathe
- Praise and Joy is major ingredient for longevity.
- When God’s creature stops praising God, they start dying.

AVOID MURMURING

1 Corinthians 10:10 (KJV)


Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

- Murmuring is a killer of destiny and life


- When you murmur, you communicate to God, that you are tired of life. And Satan also heard
too.

Hence;
PRAISE AND THANKSGIVING ARE VERY IMPORTANT TOOLS FOR VICTORIOUS, SUCCESSFUL AND QUALITY
CHRISTIAN LIVING

What Praise and Thanksgiving Represents In Scripture

1. PRAISE IS A GARMENT

Isaiah 61:3 (KJV)


To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil
of joy for mourning, THE GARMENT OF PRAISE FOR THE SPIRIT OF HEAVINESS; that
they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be
glorified.

- Your praise can define your identity


- Your praise defines your authority
- To live without praise is to live without identity and authority
- To be praise-less is to be naked in the Spirit
- Your praise determines your opportunities (Isa. 22:22)

And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall
shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.

- The key of the house of David speaks about praise


- Praise and Thanksgiving was the secret that makes David’s relation with God and outstanding
one.
- The only relation between God and man that was like David’s relationship was Jesus’s
- Whoever has access to this Key has access to unlimited opportunities

2. PRAISE IS A WEAPON OF WAR

2 Chronicles 20:22-23 (HCSB)


The moment they began [their] shouts and praises, the LORD set an ambush against
the Ammonites, Moabites, and [the inhabitants of] Mount Seir who came [to fight]
against Judah, and they were defeated.

The Ammonites and Moabites turned against the inhabitants of Mount Seir and
completely annihilated them. When they had finished with the inhabitants of Seir,
they helped destroy each other.

3. PRAISE IS A SACRIFICE

Hebrews 13:15 (KJV)


By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our
lips giving thanks to his name.
- If you cannot afford a cow, a ram, a goat, you can afford to offer to God your quality praise
- This sacrifice has to be done continually
- You cannot be vibrant in praise and be lacking in fire because sacrifice provokes fire

Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and
the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.

- It is sacrifice that validate any altar, hence you Vibrant praise empower your spiritual altar

Prayer

1. MY FATHER, FORGIVE ME FOR EVERY SIN OF MURMURING
