Assess the safety of the mannequin(clint).
Position of the mannequin. Identify indication for immediate care of new born Explain nursing consideration before, during, and after care of new born Demonstrate appropriate technique of immediate care of new born
Observation: Performing physical assessment of the baby.
Score:
Score the task based on the following
Score “1” for each point identified and explained correctly

1. Perform hand washing and wear gloves 2. Dry the baby with pre warm towel and place in sniffing position 3. Clean the eye 4. Establish open airway by suctioning 5. Clamp and cut the cord 6. Apply an identity tag for baby and mother 7. Wrap (mummifies) the baby with a warm sheet and weight the baby 8. Check oxygen saturation level then administer Inj. Vitamin-K 1 mg IM 9.
