4. Is E-Pharmacy Should Be Banned?
5. The Problem with Overpopulation and Our Medical System
6. Is Global Warming Becoming a More Serious Problem with Time?
7. Control Over Cost of Essential Drugs

RULES AND REGULATIONS:
1. Each college is allowed a maximum of two entries, with each team comprising no more than
three participants.
2. The team supporting the motion is referred to as the “proposition” or “affirmative”, while
the team opposing the motion is known as the “opposition” or “negative”.
3. Debaters are advised to avoid the terms such as "always," "never," "often," or "generally" as
they render their arguments more susceptible to opposition attacks.
4. A crucial aspect of effective debating is concentrating on attacking ideas rather than
individuals. Personal attacks weaken arguments, and debaters should instead scrutinize
flaws in their opponent's reasoning, challenging the logic rather than the person.
5. Debaters should refrain from disputing self-evident truths or embellishing evidence to suit
their case.
6. Maintaining an appropriate tone of voice, composure throughout the debate, and avoiding
unnecessary conflicts are crucial aspects of effective debating.
7. Debaters can strategically employ body language, recognizing that posture, movement, and
overall physical presentation complement and enhance the meaning of spoken words.
8. Teams are required to report ten minutes before the commencement of the competition.
9. The competition will be adjudicated by the judge, and the judge's decision is FINAL.

OUTLINE OF COMPETITION:
1. Involvement of all participants in the debate is desirable.
2. Each team will be allocated 3 minutes for presenting their perspectives, followed by a 7-
minute debate session. The total time limit for each debate is set at 10 minutes.
3. First Group is assigned the task of presenting arguments in favor of the topic, while Second
Group is tasked with arguing against it.
4. The decision on which group will argue 'FOR' and 'AGAINST' the topic will be determined
through a toss method conducted by the competition judges.
5. The debate topic will be chosen randomly using a chit-picking method.
6. It is preferable for all participants in the debate to be actively involved.
7. English, Hindi, or Marathi are the permissible languages for use during the debate.
8. The structure and guidelines for the competition will be outlined by the judges.
