Starter: - What is the point of writing a non-chronological report?

To present information about some research you have done in any


topic or subject.

-Why do we call it non-chronological report?

Because it can be read in any order and still can be understood as


it doesn`t follow a time order.

Ask students about the features of a non-chronological reports


they can recall and let them watch the video to answer this
question.

 Summary: Remind the readers of what you taught them
 Next steps: give readers suggestions on how to find more
about this topic or to experience something.
Why closings/ conclusions are important?
They sum up the topic to the reader.

 What openers you might use?

For example: Amazingly, Sometimes, Generally, Usually, On


average, Frequently, Furthermore, Moreover, However…etc

Why do we need openers?

To help the reader understand the text easily.

 What conjunctions you might use?

For example: Although, even thought, while, whereas, because,


since, yet, but, so….. etc
