A. This topic contains allowable damage data for the Cargo Compartment
Doors. Allowable damage is damage for which a structural repair is not
necessary. You must remove the damage down to a smooth contour and
compare with the allowable limits given in the relevant Chapter.
NOTE: For the definition of allowable damage, refer to Chapter 51−11−11

A. Allowable Rework on Access Panels − FWD and AFT Cargo Compartment Doors
This allowable rework is applicable to the FWD and AFT Cargo Compartment
Doors.
NOTE: This allowable rework is effective as given in Table 102 .
(2) Instruction for use of Diagram 101 Sheet 1 and Diagram 101
Sheet 2 :
− Measure the overall length of the rework and compare with Diagram
101 Sheet 1 or Diagram 101 Sheet 2 .
− The rework must not exceed the limits of the diagrams. In the case
of rework out of limits contact AIRBUS.

are effective as given in Table 103 .

These allowable dent limits are applicable to the FWD and AFT Cargo
Compartment Doors.
CAUTION: FOR BONDED DOUBLER AND BONDED STIFFENER ALLOWABLE DAMAGE, CON
TACT AIRBUS.
(1) For instructions on how to measure dents on the Access Panels of the
FWD and AFT Cargo Compartment Doors, refer to Figure 102 .
(2) Use Diagram 103 to find the limits of allowable dents. These in
clude data for the Access Panels on the FWD and AFT Cargo Compart
ment Door.
NOTE: For dent around static ports, pitot probes, total air tempera
ture probes and angle of attack sensors, check that this dent
is within the aerodynamic requirements given in Chapter
53−00−11, Page Block 101 .

This allowable rework is applicable to the FWD and AFT Cargo Compartment
Doors.
NOTE: This allowable rework is effective as given in Table 106 .
NOTE: The diagrams are valid for reworks only. Contact Airbus if the
minimum distance between two defects (including any existing
reworks) is less than the maximum length of one defect or more
than one rework with a depth of more than 50% is within two
adjacent stringer bays or one frame bay.

G. Allowable Dents on the Edge Area of the Outer Skin − FWD and AFT Cargo
Doors
NOTE: This allowable rework is applicable to the FWD and AFT Cargo
Compartment Doors and is effective as follows:
NOTE: This allowable damage data is valid for unpressurized outer skin
edge area of the cargo compartment doors.
NOTE: Damaged fasteners or stiffeners near the edge area are not
permitted.
(2) If no crack detected, dress out the dent area, refer to Chapter
51−73−00.
(4) The minimum edge distance to any existing fastener must be maintained
(refer to Chapter 51−47−00).
(5) Restore the surface protection on reworked area, refer to Chapter
51−75−12.
