X. Narrative of the Meeting

The seminar started at 3:30 o’clock in the afternoon with an invocation led by
Ms. Janet Badilla followed by a nationalistic song led by Ms. Riza Castillo. Dr.
Maureen De Claro, Assistant Principal II, formally welcomed the participants of
the seminar. According to her, LAC Session is under DepEd Order 35 s.2016 and
served as a means for collegial discussion, She ended by sharing the quotation,
“Don’t stop learning because life never stops teaching.” Meanwhile, Ms. Grace F.
Ilagan stated the purpose for the seminar.
Afterwards, Ms. Ma. Muriel Manza-De Roxas, the first facilitator for the
learning action cell on classroom management first divided the faculty members
into groups. Each group presented a chorus of a song that best described how
they were feeling in that moment. She focused on universal classroom
management strategies and the difference between classroom management and
classroom discipline. She ended her presentation with a poem entitled The
Teachers by Ronald Reagan, the former US President.
Ms. Costancia De Villa, the second facilitator started her presentation with a
question, “Can you imagine what will happen to a class when the students are
roaming around and are misbehaving during class hours?” In connection with
this, Mrs. Neslie Lumanglas, Mr. Cipriano Magnaye, and Ms. Merly Macatangay
shared their experiences with their students. She discussed the classroom
control, classroom management and its functions, rules setting and classroom
behaviors.
The seminar ended at 5:00 pm. The Program Management Team awarded
the certificates of participation to the participants of the seminar and Certificate of
Recognition to the program committee.
