Treat Your Risks as Step Towards Success

In the word of Helen Keller, “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all”. Good morning,
everyone, my name is …... and today I am going to speak about something which has always
been on my mind. I have this opportunity and I will do my best to give my message and vision.

Everyone has a dream, but only a few can achieve it. What makes these few people different than
the rest? What makes them stand out from the crowd? It is their mindset, vision, and efforts
towards their goals. It is their stubbornness to be the best, do the best and achieve the best.

There are always two ways in our lives, one in which we run the same race as billions of others
are running and accept whatever we get out of it. Another is the path of struggle, where you will
have to come out of your comfort zone, sacrifice time, and do many other things to achieve that
one dream that you always had in your mind.

Life is never going to be interesting if you do not try something new in it, something daring,
something worth risking, something which might lead you somewhere where people will be
inspired by you. I always wonder why people say play safe rather than taking risks because not
taking risks is itself a risk of not getting the best out of life.

If years ago, a teenager would not have taken risk of making a platform that will help everyone
connect and socialize then today we would not have been using Facebook, yes, I am speaking of
Mark Zuckerberg, a teenager, a college dropout who did not care what CGPA he was getting and
gave his full efforts in making this platform which is used by billions of people throughout the
world. The same goes for Bill Gates, who came from a poor background and did not pay
attention to the limitations or risks associated with it. It might sound so easy but believe me, it
was not easy for them, it was tough and maybe devastating sometimes for them when everything
was at stake but they did not stop, they kept going and, in the end, they became known to the
entire world.

When I was 14, by that time I always had the vision to do something big in my life, I wanted to
achieve the goals I always had. However, it's very unlikely for people to believe that 14 years old
can do something like this and it had always kind of discouraged me because very few people
believe in you or take you seriously. But as Jeff Bezos said and I quote, “Work Hard, have fun,
make history”, and did exactly the same thing. At the age of 14, I borrowed 500$, such a huge
risk because if I fail I will be in debt at such an early age, there was no backup on what I am
going to do and what will happen if I fail because I never thought about it. After all, that was not
important to me but what was important was that I need to try at least, I need to give it a shot
otherwise I will be left with only one thing in my entire life and that is Regret not trying. Thanks
that only risk which made me realize that I can do more than I think about myself and today at
the age of 16, I am running a successful sales agency with over 12 employees and when I was
15, I was making 5 to 10k a month, and all of that was possible because I took that elevated risk.

In today's world, when someone tries to do something different, they are always demotivated and
discouraged by many people, which is why they follow the same route as everyone else, however
you need to do exactly the opposite, you must believe in yourself, you must have faith in your
idea, your visions and everything will become possible by itself. In the words of Elon Musk,”
The first step is to establish that something is possible then probability will occur..” All you need
to do is have patience and trust your ideas and paths will follow your way.

When you try something new, there is always a chance you might fail in it, there is always a
chance that things do not go exactly the same way as you imagined but that does not mean you
stop trying, that does not mean you quit so easily. When things go wrong when everyone is
turning against you and when you know things are parting then tell this to yourself that you are
close to your success because that last step of stairs is always tough to climb but when you stick
by yourself when you don’t give up, you will finally be able to see the future which you always
wished for yourself. When Three space rockets programs failed consequently in front of Elon,
then you imagine what he must have gone through, imagine millions going in waste, that guy had
an easy way out by not trying the fourth launch but he chose to stay and not quit, he chose to stay
awake in nights, do more work in days, and look where it got him.

I am not asking you to be awake the whole night, I am not asking you to hurt yourself by
exhausting yourself but the only thing I want you to do is to promise yourself. Tell yourself that
your idea is great, tell yourself that you can achieve your goals and vision, and take the risks
associated with it because these risks are the leading steps towards your success. Hold yourself
accountable for each and every second and when things go bad, don’t quit and start fresh because
that’s something that will make you better at what you do.
