A SEMI DETAILED LESSON PLAN


FOR ELEMENTARY IN MATHEMATICS 1

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
 Add two 1digit numbers with the sum up to 18
 Use objects to form a new set
 Make the right choices
II. Subject Matter
A. Topic: Adding two 1digit numbers and joining two set of 1-9 objects.
B. Reference: Lesson Guide in Elementary Mathematics Grade 1: Chapter 1
Whole Numbers Additions
C. Materials: Visual Aids, cutout of fruits, toys, etc., Addition tables
D. Values: Making the right choices

III. Procedure

A. Prayer:

Teacher Response: Who’s our prayer leader for today, class? Kindly lead the
prayer.
Students Response: (The prayer leader will lead the prayer.)

B. Greetings:

Teacher Response: Good morning, class!


Students Response: Good morning, Ma’am Tally!

C. Classroom Management

Teacher Response: Go back to your assigned seat, before taking your seat,
make sure that your place is clear, and chairs are properly aligned.
Alright! You may now take your seat.
Students Response: (Students are in their assigned seat and pick up pieces of
trash and arrange their chairs.)

D. Checking of Attendance

Teacher Response: Moving on. Class, do we have absentees for today?


Students Response: We have no absentees today, ma’am.

Teacher Response: Before anything else, I would like to ask everyone, how was
everyone’s day?

Kindly clear all the things in your table and prepare you hand as we are going to
count using our fingers.

I hope that you still remember the numbers 1-20 because I will present a number
that we are going to use to addition.

2. Grouping (Join two set with 1-9 objects)

While at the market, Kylie and Basty are buying their favorite fruits. Basty buys
five oranges, while Kylie buys three apples. How many of fruits are there?
Values: Do you like fruits? Why?
If you were kylie and Basty would you rather buy fruit than candies? why?
Is it good to eat candies often? What happen if you eat too much sweets?
What shall we do to keep our teeth strong and healthy? (Choose the right food)

Mikael and Miguel are the twin cousins of the Espinosa family. Miguel have four
basketballs, while Mikael's two. What is the amount of their balls?
