Laura: I’m so happy to see you in person, thank u so much for coming on the show.
Daniel: oh no, it’s a pleasure for me, I love coming and sharing time with you, u are
very funny btw.
Laura: Jsjkadhakdh thanks Charles, Ive been hearing people talking about this
climate change thing lately, u know like-
Daniel: Yeah, I know.
Laura: like yeah and I remembered that I had a fri3end who was involved in this
issue, right? So, tell us Charles.
Daniel: Yes Laura, I am more involved in the generation of alternative energy, such
as the use and implementation of solar panels.
Laura: That’s amazing, tell us how you participated in the creation of this popular
alternative in these 25 years.
Daniel: Few know but I was the first American scientist who created the
photoelectric cell, the first in the whole world. I had made my invention in 1883,
after several investigations.
Laura: Of course! The famous photoelectric cell, which according to what I
understand, without it, solar panels would not exist.
Daniel: Yeah, you are right.
Laura: God damn, u are a fucking genius.
Daniel: Jhasjkdhas, thank you so much, for real, but the solar panel would not
have been possible without the contributions of other scientists and physicist,
such as Alexandre Edmond, Alessandro Volta and the one who made all this
possible, Albert Einstein.
Say: Did someone say Albert Einstein?
Laura: Omg, this is getting better and better.
Daniel y say: jahkasjhdaskjdh.
Laura: Albert, ladies and gentlemen, a German physicist recognized for his theory
of relativity, his books and his cont6ributions to theoretical physics, what is he
doing here in the talk about solar panels?
Say: Well, everyone know that I won the Nobel prize in physics, and although it
was partly due to my theory of relativity, it was also due to my explanations about
the photoelectric effect.
Laura: Oh, I see, so when Charles has related the photoelectric cell, you had
already won the Nobel prize in physics, right?
Say: Oh no, when I won my Nobel prize, Charles had already created his
photoelectric cell. In fact, when I published my book of the photoelectric effect,
Edmond had already discovered the photovoltaic effect in 1838.
Daniel: Yeah, and when Edmond had made that discovery, Alessandro had not yet
discovered the famous unit of measure that is the volt.
Laura: Oh sure, it was Alessandro Volta who gave the name to the word
photovoltaic, but to all of these, how do those cell that they created and improved
work?
Daniel y say: Jhajskdashd.
Daniel: It’s very easy.
Say: Yeah, I mana explain it.
Daniel: Oh sure, do it.
Say: We must star with the fact that Charles creation had 1% conversion efficiency,
then with progress it reached 6% and currently it is already 25% efficient.
Laura: So, the conversion was low, but it was growing.
Daniel: Yes, photoelectric cells are made to capture sunlight, they separate the
electrons so that they form a layer of positive energy and one of negative charge,
this potential difference generates an electric current.
Say: The panels are made up of these cells, they are connected to a battery that
stores the electricity generated and it us this charge that is used.
Laura: Awesome how these solar panels work.
Daniel: Yeah, it’s incredible.
Say: The solar panel has existed for a long time, since 1883, it is a pity that only in
the 2000s are they becoming known and precisely because of the climate change.
Laura: It’s very sad, for everyone, but tonight is over, thank you very much for
coming and sharing your knowledge, I had a great time.
Daniel: Me too, bye.
Say: Thx, see u later.
