PROJECT: ALS FREE UNIFORM PROJECT

I. RATIONALE:

Pursuant to Ra No.11510, An Act Institutionalizing The Alternative Learning

System In Basic Education for Children In Special Cases And Adults And
Appropriating Funds Therefor, Sec.2.b, Towards this end, the State shall provide the
out-of-school children in special cases and adults with opportunities to improve their
knowledge, values, life skills and readiness for higher education, work or self –
employment through a system of in formal or indigenous education, or both which are
tailored to respond to their learning needs and life circumstances. The State shall also
ensure the close partnership and collaboration between the government and the
private sector in achieving this goal.

With this, the project is hereby proposed to provide free s for all ALS Learners of
Canlalay ALS Community Learning Center.

II. OBJECTIVES:

This project aims to:

a) Develop ALS education by providing free school uniforms.

b) Promote that every learner should be able to go to school in standard uniform
and feel comfortable
c) Encourage more youth, children and adults to continue their studies and enroll
in ALS.
d) Enhance student engagement and academic performance through improved
self-esteem and confidence.
e) Reduce the financial burden on families by providing free school uniforms.

III. PROJECT DISCRIPTION:

ALS FREE UNIFORM PROJECT aims to address the financial burden faced by
families in providing school uniforms for their children. The project seeks to reduce
cost barriers to education by implementing measures to make school uniforms more
accessible and freer. By ensuring that every ALS has access to free uniforms, we can
promote equality, enhance educational opportunities, and foster a conducive learning
environment for all ALS Learners of Canlalay ALS Community Learning Center.

IV. PROJECT ACTIVITIES

A. Gather ALS enrollees

B. Establish partnerships:
a) Coordinate with the Barangay
b) Collaborate with local government and community organizations to develop a
network of support for the initiative.
c) Engage with stakeholders, including parents, teachers, and students, to
understand their needs and gather feedback.
C. Research and analysis:
a) Conduct a comprehensive study to identify the key cost factors associated with
school uniforms, including design, materials, and production.
D. Affordable uniform design:
a) Explore the use of sustainable materials to reduce long-term costs and
environmental impact
E. Community Engagement and Awareness:
a) Orient the learners about the Project
b) Provide students with their Free Uniform
c) Signing of Pledge of Commitment

V. PROJECT FUNDING:
Funding will be sought from local
government grants, corporate
sponsorships, stakeholders and
community donations.

Regular evaluation and monitoring will be conducted throughout the project to assess its
impact. Key performance indicators will include increased school attendance, reduced
financial burden on families, feedback from stakeholders, and the number of uniforms
distributed through the ALS FREE UNIFORM PROJECT. Feedback, suggestions and
comments will be established to ensure continuous improvement and sustainability.

VII. SUSTAINABILITY PLAN:

To ensure the long-term sustainability of the ALS FREE UNIFORM PROJECT, efforts will
be made to secure ongoing funding through partnerships with local government,
community and stakeholders’ partnership.

By implementing the ALS FREE UNIFORM PROJECT, we will take a significant step
towards reducing cost barriers to education, promoting equality, and empowering ALS
Learners to reach their full potential. We seek support from stakeholders and partners to
make this initiative a success and create a brighter future for all out-of-school youth in
our community.
