animator, engineer, nurse, lawyer, psychiatrist, psychologist, some of you want to be a musician,
policeman, chef, an artist, visual artist, meron pa nga ay politician, “CEO of Walt Disney” hulaan niyo
kung sino yan and so on. Some of you naman are still undecided. So, If u are still undecided, you should
start planning now. Iwas pressure yan.

Question, Why do we need to tackle this lesson, na kahit iba iba naman tayo ng career plan?

So in this lesson, hindi naman natin iibahin yung career path ninyo or yung gusto niyo maging in the
future but it will help you to choose or to plan on your chosen career...siguro dahil health e ginawang
health-related career but overall this is all about planning your career in the future. Iniscan ko kasi and
applicable naman para sa lahat.

Ako, I admit, hindi talaga ako nakapag plan for career, late ko nang na realize na gusto ko pala maging
nurse. okay so I’ll make kwento. We are a family of teachers kasi…so ano ako syempre ang nasa mind ko
ay okay I’ll follow them… so during college days, okay siya napaka saya actually, sa field namin, MAPEH
ang pinaka masaya legit yan next ay TLE major, pinaka kailangan sa mga program for example sa mga
sayaw, minasa festival, madalas kumuha sa mapeh tapos intrams tapos kapag kailangan ng band for
intermissions talagang meron. Ang pinakaseryoso naman ay mga English majors and math majors.
Kumbaga kapag usapang academics, English and math tapos kapag extra-curricular, mapeh and tle.
Happiest moments ko yung college talaga. So ayon, girl eto na nag ojt na at ngayong nasa field na talaga
ako ng teaching, nararamdaman ko na yung hirap. From pagrerecord ng requirements, dahil apat na
subjects at ilang sections yon ilan yon? Ayoko magbilang…ayont ama ayoko nga magbilang. , aral ng
lessons, hanggang sa paperworks. Ayon bandang month of September ang nasa isip ko lang talaga
“magreresign ako” with matching iyak. Sabi ko bakit ang daming nagtatagal sa pagtuturo e napakahirap
pala huhuhu meron akong college friend din si Mam Jessa, araw araw kaming ngumangawa, stress na
stress sabi ko sakanya ayoko na mag reresign na ako , mag eemail na ako nkay sir alvin, ay te meron na
talaga akong naka compose na letter kay Sir. but with some realizations, “bakit ako magreresign?” o
diba mabilis ako mag shift ng emotion bakit ba. Pero when you try to embrace something na hindi mo
gusto at first, and you have to look into the reality of life, you’ll learn to accept it and you need to accept
it...you have to think of the effect ng bawat decision na itatake mo. Anong mangyayari kapag nagresign
ako? Diba minsan nadadala tayo ng emotion natin that will lead us sometimes into wrong decision. So
ibig sabihin ba mam kapag nagkamali ng decision sa career kailangan tanggapin nalang kahit hindi ka
masaya? The answer is no. U have to move to your plan B. Pero on the other side, kung kaya mo naman
sa sarili mo why not, baka kasi indenial ka lang. Baka kasi meron ka lang hinahanap? Diba. And
remember, you have your purpose kung bakit ka nasa situation na yan. Eto isa pa. And if something/
someone change your perception towards that profession, there is a chance na mamahalin mo pala
talaga yung ginagawa mo. Kapag merong nakapagpa motivate sayo. Colleague mo, boss mo, client mo,
patient mo… you’ll love what you are doing. And ang nakapagpabago ng aking pananaw sa teaching ay,
guess who? syempre kayong students. AMEN, homily pala. Joke lang pero seryoso yon, hirap kasi
bumanat sa zoom, delay minsan sa iba. Pero yun nga you have to look at the brightest side of life..

Physicians are the one who diagnose and treat patients and prescribe medication as well. Maraming diff
specialties yan, pediatrician, psychiatrist, nuerologist, anesthesiologists and so on while the surgeons
they are also responsible for treating patients, but they focus more on operations to repair ailments.
Marami rin silang types, general surgeon, neurosurgeon, plastic surgeon, vascular surgeon, pediatric
surgeon, and so on ulit.

Next sa physician and surgeons, ay dentist and followed by the pharmacists, so ayan ang top 3 highest
paying health care jobs. (Nurosurgeon, based on my research as of 2021 correct me if I am wrong ha NS
ang highest paying job in the world.) they are responsible for treating cerebral aneurysms or bleeding on
the brain, stroke, disorder such a s parkinson’s disease, mga movement ddisirder, seizure, epilepsy and
so on.

Health care pathways

Career pathways mean these are the Clusters of careers or occupations that are grouped because of
shared skills. So with these, siguro pwede mong ma identify if what group ba ang gusto mong pasukin if
u are going to enter a health related job.

improving the health of people and their communities. This work is achieved by
promoting healthy lifestyles, researching disease and injury prevention, and detecting, preventing and

monitoring, housekeeping duties. O sino ang nag coocnduct niyan? What profession? *NURSES,
CAREGIVER, HEALTH AIDES. provide essential and important daily living support and comfort to patients,
and to their clients and residents, they are assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting and other
personal hygiene activities.

Maternal and Child Care

reproductive health and family planning. So they providing maternal and child care and Ayon, any

Mental Health Care

They are diagnosing and treating people who have mental illnesses, emotional difficulties, and
behavioral problems because as we all know, it is essential to have excellent listening, when it comes to
verbal communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, and decision making skills. Example ay
psychiatrist, psychologists, social worker, counselor, therapist

Community Health Care

They spend much of their time traveling within the community, speaking to groups, visiting
homes and health care facilities, distributing information and otherwise connecting with local people.
This may include the barangay or municipal health workers, Doctors to the Barrio

Environmental Healthcare Management

They control of those environmental factors that can potentially affect the health of the people.
