Week 1

In support of the MATATAG Basic Education Agenda and in partnership with the National
Learning Recovery Program (NLRP), I assumed a key role as an Elementary teacher during
the National Learning Camp (NLC) held throughout the 2022-2023 End-of-School Year
break. The following report outlines the program's execution from July 24 to August 25,
2023, with my class consisting of 8 pupils, comprising 3 boys and 5 girls.

This week is challenging for us because we need to convince our pupils to constantly go to
school within the NLC period explaining the importance of the program to them. We need to
go to their houses so that we can assure that our pupils will attend our class because some of
them doesn’t care about the program and they want to play than to go to school because they
know that it is summer time. I also prepare the materials needed for this week such as
printing of activity/ worksheets and pictures for letter introduction.

The activities we made in this particular week is the letter and sound familiarization some of
my pupils knows it already but some of them needs to be refreshed.

Week 2

I start with refreshing them the letters Aa, Nn, Ii, Gg and Oo, with this I ask them the sounds
of each letter and make some words out of this letter to make them read by using the sounds
of each letter. I keep on practicing them with the words we form out the letters Aa, Nn, Ii,
Gg and Oo. I also give them the activity sheets that are needed with the particular week.

I also let them read one by one so that I can assure that my learners know the lesson we
tackled a while ago.

Week 3

This week I introduce to the letter Tt, Hh, Pp, and Uu. Same process with the last 2 weeks
activity, Introducing the letter sound and its letter name accompanied with the pictures that
starts with the sound Tt, Hh, Pp, and Uu. I also connect these new letters to the letters I
introduced last week 1 and two, and make some list of words consisting the letters I already
introduced to them.

I let them read some of the reading materials I prepare for them to read.

Week 4

This time I show them the pictures that start with letters Kk, Yy, Ss, Rr, and Ng. I do make
some list of words and make some phrases and simple sentences with the used of the letters
that we discussed from last 3 weeks and the new letters introduced to them this week. I let
them read one by one for me to know if they can already read and weather, they learn from
me or not.

Week 5

The final week where we let them read and read and make some games that are educational
focusing on reading so that they will not be boring. This week also is the week where we
award the certificate of completion, a very strong evidence that they survive the summer
camp name National Learning Camp of Deped. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the DepEd for
the provided incentives, recognizing our extra efforts. Being a part of this year's National
Learning Camp's success story has been profoundly fulfilling, and I am optimistic about
future educational collaborations.
