THE CHURCH OF PENTECOST

OFANKORDISTRICT
YOUTH MINISTRY

End of halfyear report, 2023

January – June, 2023
PREAMBLE

‘Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were
called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as
you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and
songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you
do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to
God the Father through Him.’
(Colossians 3:15-17)

DISTRICT ACTIVITES

Youth Special Church Service

The District embarked on its monthly Special Church Service from January to June
2023.

Activities held during these meetings included our annual “Love Summit” programme
held in February and seminar for education on travel. Sessions spanning from
spirituality, financial prudence, relationship and marriage talks brought dynamism to the
Youth Ministry. We also had a movie show in June, with a movie titled “Prophet
Suddenly”, which encouraged us not to be too hasty in life but in all things to rely on
God. The Youth were also involved in aggressive evangelism for the first half of this
year.

Evangelism activities

We had some of our local assemblies embarking on frequent visitations to schools

around our locality to share the gospel and motivate them to take their academics
serious. Some souls were saved to the glory of God and prayer and deliverance sessions
were also organized for them. Some schools visited include Harlem International School,
Comfort Memorial School among others.

Fasting and Prayers Retreats/All-night Sessions

The District organized some prayer sessions with the members on Special Service days.

Various Locals also organized prayer sessions which included all-night services and
fasting and prayers.

Special Recognition

A member of the Ofankor South Assembly in the District named Doris Barnes came out
as the overall best student in Fashion in the Ho Technical University (Polytechnic) and
was honoured by the chairman of the church. She is an inspiration to us all to bring out
our best in everything facet of our lives.

Media Ministry

Members were encouraged to use the various social media platforms for aggressive
evangelism on several occasions.

VISITATION

The District Leadership visited various locals on different occasions. This brought
encouragement and revival to the locals.

We also received a Pastoral visitation during our Youth week celebration.

PROJECTIONS ACHIEVED

In order to ensure attendance was effective during District Youth meetings, the venues
for our monthly meetings are being rotated among the local assemblies to ensure each
local has a feel of the district at their own level.

CHALLENGES

We experienced lateness to meetings due to work schedules of our adult youth.

and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us now and forever more. Amen.
