Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are excited to announce that our athletes will take part in the Bekker HS athletics event on Friday 01
February 2024. Herewith some important details about this all-day event.

Please take note of the following important information about the event:

Athletes are permitted to come to school dressed in full Curro athletics wear.

Athletes may travel via personal transport or make use of the school bus. Learners who opt to take the school
bus need to complete an indemnity form and hand it in at reception before or on Friday, 01/02/2024. Kindly
note that only learners who have completed the indemnity form will be allowed on the bus. Indemnity forms
are available at reception or find attached.

The bus will depart promptly at 12:30 and will return to school by 22:00 at the latest.

Please ensure that your child takes sunscreen, water, lunch or money as refreshments will be sold at the
venue.

On occasion, as part of the co-curricular programme and total learning experience, the School provides learners with an opportunity to
go on special group excursions, usually with fellow learners of the same age.

Although the School and the Curro Holdings Ltd Board of Directors will attempt to maintain reasonable and generally accepted
standards to ensure the safety and well-being of all learners and educators, the possibility of accidents and/or injuries occurring can
never be excluded and participation in any such excursion therefore carries with it some measure of risk. The learner has indicated
a desire to take part in the above-mentioned excursion. Naturally the School and the Curro Holdings Ltd Board of Directors cannot
accept responsibility for any accident and/or injury that occurs during an excursion.

To ensure that the learner is allowed to participate in the excursion as part of a group of learners, you are requested to complete
the section below as proof that you understand the position of the School and the Curro Holdings Ltd Board of Directors and that
you accept the risks involved.

indemnify the School and the Curro Holdings Ltd Board of Directors for the time being of the Curro Holdings Ltd (Reg Nr
1998/025801/06) for any losses or damages in general, however they may occur, that I as parent / legal guardian of the above-
mentioned learner may suffer as a result of any occurrence whereby the learner may be involved, whether as the causing or suffering
party, whilst participating in the above-mentioned excursion.

In particular, I authorise that the above-mentioned learner may participate in all normal activities usually associated with a
similar excursion, and I give my consent that he/she may make use of the transport arranged by the School for the excursion. I
also indemnify the School and the Curro Holdings Ltd Board of Directors for any damages or losses that I, as parent / legal
guardian of the above- mentioned learner, may suffer under such circumstances and voluntarily accept all the risks associated
therewith.

I also wish to bring to the attention of the organiser and educators in charge of the excursion, the following medical or other
circumstances which must be taken into account at all times during the above-mentioned learner’s participation in the
excursion.
