How to check shaft key “slip” in Omron Actuator

1. Turn off the Power 440 VAC for DSU

2. Start with loosening the clamp cone on the actuator. Loosen the 12
screws in circle on the shaft of the actuator. (Arrow 1 on picture) Now
the fuel linkage arm should be able to move with hand force.

3. Disconnect the cables – Encoder, brake and power. (Arrow 2 on


picture)

4. Remove the 8 screws that are holding the actuator in place on the
mounting plate. (Arrow 3 on picture)
5. Now remove the actuator

6. Remove the 4 Allen keys that is holding the motor and gear box and
slide out the motor.

7. Check if the key is in place


8. Use a punch and a mini sledge hammer to create a lip that narrowed
the groove at the end of the shaft so it doesn't slide out anymore.

9. Assemble the motor and gear box back.

10. Install back actuator.

11. Attach the 8 screws holding it in place (Arrow 3 on picture page 1)

12. Connect the 3 cables on the actuator. (Arrow 2 on the picture page 1)

13. Tighten Clamp corn of the Motor.


** Caution (Procedure)
a. Disconnect Governor Linkage (Change to Local control mode)
b. Set Local Fuel Pump index around 0 mm by Local Manoeuvring
wheel
c. Engage Governor Linkage (Remote control mode)
d. Tighten Clamp cone on Actuator shaft.
14. Turn On 440V breaker for DSU

15. Test Governor system at ECR by Manoeuvring Lever.

16. After confirming Step.15, change over the control position to Bridge
mode
