Subject: Urgent Appeal for Assistance in Davao Del Norte and Davao De Oro

Dear EPDGSHIANS,

We trust this letter finds you in good health. We are writing to draw your attention to a critical
situation that has recently unfolded in certain areas of Davao Del Norte and Davao De Oro in
Region XI, Philippines.
Due to persistent rainfall cause by the low pressure area (LPA) in the region, evident from
various public information sites, these parts of Region XI have faced severe flooding and
landslides, resulting in extensive damage to homes, displacement of families, disruptions to
normal life, and unfortunately, fatalities. This natural disaster has left numerous residents in
desperate need of assistance to rebuild their lives and overcome these challenges.
Upon the call from the Department of Education heads in Davao City, urging all public schools
to willingly extend a helping hand to the affected areas, we, the Elias P. Dacudao Gumalang
School of Home Industries, under the leadership of our esteemed Principal, Perla C. Albit, along
with the active participation of faculty and staff, reach out on behalf of the Supreme Students
Learner Government (SSLG).
We kindly request donations, especially essential items such as food, drinking water, and
monetary assistance, to support the affected families in their recovery efforts. Any contribution,
regardless of size, will significantly aid those currently facing hardships.
Should you be able to assist us in this endeavour, we would be immensely grateful. Donations
can be made directly to our school's SSLG.
Your generosity and compassion will make a significant difference in the lives of those severely
affected by this natural disaster. We believe that by uniting as a community, we can provide the
support and comfort necessary for the affected families to rebuild and recover.
