A PROJECT REPORT

ON
“SMART ELECTRICITY ENERGY METER”

ABSTRACT

Electricity energy meter plays a crucial role in monitoring and managing power
consumption in households and industries. In this project, we propose an
innovative electricity energy meter system that utilizes an ESP32
microcontroller in conjunction with the ZMPT101B voltage sensor and SCT-
013-030 current sensor. The goal is to create a highly accurate and versatile
energy metering system that offers real-time data monitoring and the potential
for remote data retrieval and analysis.

The system's core components include the ESP32 microcontroller, which

provides the processing power and Wi-Fi connectivity for data transmission, the
ZMPT101B voltage sensor for precise voltage measurements, and the SCT-013-
030 current sensor for accurate current measurements. By interfacing these
sensors with the ESP32, the system can capture both voltage and current data in
real time.

This project aims to provide an affordable and adaptable solution for energy
metering in various applications, contributing to energy conservation efforts and
allowing users to gain insights into their power consumption patterns. The
combination of the ESP32, ZMPT101B, and SCT-013-030 sensors represents a
promising approach to modernizing energy metering and empowering users to
make informed decisions regarding energy efficiency and consumption.
